Investing in Supernova: Transforming How Kids Learn Coding & Computational Thinking

Note: Supernova has since pivoted to being a private tutor for every child, teaching English, Maths and Science.

We’re thrilled to announce our investment in Supernova, on a mission to transform how kids learn coding and computational thinking through a mobile-first product built around fun, activity-based learning.

Why 1:1 coding classes stall

Existing players in the Indian market rely on a 1:1 teaching model that struggles to scale: teacher requirements grow linearly, quality is inconsistent, and there are no network effects. Courses become expensive, limiting access to affluent students and intensifying competition for a narrow customer base — which drives customer acquisition costs up and caps growth in a price-conscious market.

The Supernova approach

Supernova offers an interactive, mobile-first learning experience combining asynchronous learning with engaging game-like elements. A productized offering instead of a one-size-fits-all service model enables a freemium approach, making coding education accessible to a far broader audience.

The market

Millions of Indian kids pay significant annual school fees, a substantial base to monetize at an affordable monthly price point. As a global product, Supernova can expand into the Americas, MENA and SEA, where pricing could be higher still. Our TAM calculation puts the opportunity in India alone in the billions.

The team

Maharishi, a skilled brand builder, has been creating games that drive sellable outcomes since 2020. Anirudh is a second-time founder who built and exited Myra after scaling it to $15 million ARR. Nawin pioneered the two-teacher model at Vedantu and led learning experience and engagement there.

We worked closely with the team for over ten months before investing and saw their journey firsthand. We firmly believe they are one of the finest teams positioned to make coding education accessible and engaging for kids.
